We talked about getting ready for the next deadline, at our meeting on Thursday. This got me thinking in a different way.
What if tomorrow was always the deadline? What if we started each day thinking it was the day to get prepared for the next day, or next class, as that was the deadline? Would it change the way we train, and our mindset of what needed to be accomplished?
I do think it would alleviate the ‘panic’ mode of a deadline date. If we started everyday with tomorrow being our deadline, I believe our training would be more of a habit versus something that needs to get done because we have to.
Just some thoughts I’ve been pondering in the last few days. I’m working on changing my mindset. Everyday is a new day that brings many opportunities. I’ve been working on being more receptive to opportunities presented to me. I’m also trying to be insightful, and grateful with the little things that happen each day. I’ve been reflecting throughout the day, as situations arise; and at the end of the day to see if there was something I could have done better. This is helping with my mindset as well. Mastery is always a work in progress, and mediocrity is always there rearing it’s head.
I love this idea! Takes the mindset of “I’ll just do it tomorrow” and flips it on its head to become “I’ll do it FOR tomorrow”
