The other day I had what may seem strange to most, but to me a real Aha moment.
And yes it has to do with a glass of water.
I will start a bit further back for some clarity.
Before I started Kung Fu, I was not much of a water drinker. Not much, usually not at all.
But once I started Kung Fu, water was, and is, now my go to over anything else; and I am sure you understand why.
Now back to my Glass of Water....
One of the things I do now is have a glass of water right before I go to bed. The other night was the same as any other night, I had not been thirsty before getting ready for bed, not even when I was pouring that glass of water. But when it was time to drink it, I was so thirsty, I was craving it. This made me realize that it had become such a habit, that my body and brain reacted to it immediately.
This made me sit back and think for a moment, especially regarding the last few weeks.
We get into routines, which become habits. When those routines change, it throws us off.
And then the whole world tilts, and it really throws a loop in everything. Change is inevitable, and is constant, that we know. What we didn't expect or foresee is for Everything in life (basically) to change, and to change so dramatically and quickly.
Where do we go from here?
We make new routines, which will become new habits. And yes, those will change as well.
It's not about how change happens, it is about what we do with it When it happens.
I will leave you with one thought....
Are you going to GO with change, or are you going to GROW with change?
I am choosing to GROW.
