Still Here

I have been absent in my blogging, but I am still here.

Am I struggling, yes, but still pushing forwards.

I find myself going back to something my mother used to say, and I said I would not....

Do as I say, not as I do. To me this is mediocrity, and I am doing my best everyday to not fall into this category, but I struggle to find that last bit of brain power at the end of my day.

One of my personal requirements this year was to keep up with, and stay engaged with blogging (yes, an IHC requirement to blog). It was a personal requirement as well to also hold myself accountable to keep up with everyone's blogs.

I like to think I am doing a good job with keeping up with everyone, and have commented on all, for 2 reasons. I want that person to know I am engaged with them, even if to only say thank you for sharing, and I am learning so much from everyone. But, I am also not doing myself justice with my own blogging. I am much further ahead than last year, which I am proud of, but not completely where I wanted to be. I know the value of blogging, but I tend to put everyone else ahead of me. I, up until now have set a specific day to blog, and this is no longer working, due to factors out of my control. So, I need to adjust my thinking on this, and have an action plan in place to not miss anymore weekly blogs - no more specific days, but rather when I have that precious 'spare' time, even if only to jot down my thoughts on the day.

Class time is easy, it is structured, and I do not struggle to make sure I am at every class. So why then do I struggle with my blogs? Well, this is something that I have to structure, and obviously there is definite improvement needed.

Whether it be a class time in the kwoon, or in my living room, I make sure I do not miss those opportunities, unless it is unavoidable, which is rare, thankfully. I need to bring this attitude and engagement to my blogging as well. Anyone out there willing to show me how I can do this on my iphone? (Yes Mr Repay, I am an apple girl lol) This may help me, as I do occasionally take a full lunch break that would afford me some extra time for a blog.

Kung Fu is a part of everything I do, everyday. At work, at home, interacting with strangers.  I am proud of everything that Kung Fu has taught me, and will continue to teach me, and now I need to put that towards my blogs as well.

Thanks for listening, and hopefully we'll see you all back in the Kwoon soon, stay safe everyone.
